Deep Dive
This page walks you through the System Log UI with screenshots and short, practical steps.
The buttons you see in the toolbar (above the table) can change depending on your subscription plan.
First look (no Systems)
If you haven’t created any System yet, you’ll see an empty state.
When at least one System exists
As soon as you create a System, it’s auto-selected in the picker and the log table becomes active.
Start logging
Click Connect (green button in the top-right toolbar).
If your controller is sending data, new lines will begin to appear every few seconds.
Live vs Pause
Once logging is started, the viewer opens in Live mode — the Live button is yellow with a stop icon, and new lines stream in automatically.
How it works
- Live → Pause
Click Live to freeze the table. The button turns white with a different icon. - Pause → Live
Click the button again to return to Live and resume real-time updates.
Activity indicator
- In Live, an animated icon next to the button shows that new lines are being fetched.
- In Pause, the icon becomes static and clickable — click it to manually fetch the newest lines without leaving Pause.
| State | Button appearance | Stream behavior | Activity icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Live | Yellow button, stop icon | Auto-append new lines | Animated (auto fetching) |
| Pause | White button, alternate icon | Table frozen (no auto-append) | Static & clickable (manual refresh) |
Stop logging
Click Disconnect (red button in the top-right toolbar).
A confirmation popup will appear explaining the action. You can choose not to show this confirmation again the next time.
Timed Start/Stop (plan-based)
You can schedule automatic enable/disable times for logging.
- Click the Timer button in the toolbar (above the table, right side).
- In the popup, set the Start time and the Stop time.
- Confirm.
Timed Start/Stop is available only on plans that include scheduling.
Shareable System Log (plan-based)
Share a read-only, collaborative view of one System’s logs with a guest (via link + password + guest name).
- Click the Share button (toolbar above the table, right side).
- Choose how long the link should remain valid (expiration).
- Hit Generate
- Copy the share link and the generated password and send them to the guest.
- You can revoke access at any time (Remove Sharing).
Shareable Logs Page is available only on plans that include sharing.
Guest view (Shared System Log)
What your guest can do:
- Open the share link you sent (e.g.,
https://logether.cloud/en/sharing?shareKey=XXXX). - Enter the password and provide a full name or pseudonym.
This name will appear on their markers and annotations.
Guests can view, filter, annotate, and mark logs for the shared System only. They cannot change your configuration.
